The Department of Meteorology announces that there will be several periods of rain in Easte and Uva provinces, Polonnaruwa and Matale districts today (5).

Anuradhapura, Mullaitivu and Hambantota districts may experience some rain.

In Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts at 12:00 p.m. The department further said that after 2.00 there will be scattered showers or thunderstorms.
