The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be occasional rains in Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

It also shows that several rainy seasons will occur in the Weste Province, Galle and Matara districts.
 
There will be little rain in the North-West Province.

In Uva Province and Ampara and Batticaloa Districts, rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or at night.
 
In the weste slopes of the Central Hills, in the North-Central Province and in the districts of Puttalam, Hambantota and Trincomalee, Strong winds of around 40-45kmh are possible.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
