The Department of Meteorology released a statement anticipating a slight increase in rain conditions in the southweste part of the island.

Accordingly, showers or thundershowers are likely to occur at several places in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southe , and Uva provinces after 1.00 pm tomorrow (13).

The department further stated that some places in the Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southe , and Uva provinces and the Ampara district may experience fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm.

The statement states that showers or thundershowers are likely to occur at several places in other parts of the island during the evening or night.
