The Consumer Affairs Authority has informed the public to be careful when purchasing goods through social media networks during the festive season.

Its Director Asela Bandara stated that when purchasing goods through social media networks, it is advised to check whether the phone number is working and whether the correct information is included before purchasing the goods.
