The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be several periods of rain in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

It also states that there may be some rain in the northe province.
 
The rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.

In the weste slopes of the central hills, in the northe and north-central provinces, in the Monaragala, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts, winds of 10 km/h are expected from time to time.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
