President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that it is the responsibility of ambassadors to carry the message of the political transformation that has taken place in Sri Lanka to the international community and to elevate the image of Sri Lanka in the international community.

This was during a discussion held at the Presidential Secretariat today (15) with the new heads of missions who will be Sri Lanka's ambassadors to several foreign countries.

The President has instructed the ambassadors to take the lead in providing services to Sri Lankans abroad and to work with special attention.
