President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is on a visit to New York City, USA, for the United Nations General Assembly session, held a discussion with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

It was held at the UN Headquarters in New York.

At the meeting, the program implemented by the government to elevate Sri Lanka to a new level economically, socially, and politically was briefed.

The president stated that the program was appreciated by the secretary-general, and he expressed his full support for it.
