The Department of Meteorology has issued a wa ing regarding strong lightning.

It states that strong lightning is possible in the Central, Uva, Easte , and North-Central provinces and the Mullaitivu and Vavuniya districts.

The wa ing has been issued and is effective until 11 pm today (16).
