The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding strong lightning that will be in effect until 11 pm today (22).

It states that strong lightning is possible in the Uva and Easte provinces and the Hambantota and Polonnaruwa districts.

Accordingly, the Department of Meteorology has informed the people in those areas to be cautious.
