The Welfare Benefits Board says that the payments of the welfare benefit scheme will be credited to the bank accounts of the relevant beneficiaries tomorrow (22).

The board stated that in the first phase of the welfare benefit scheme, an amount of three billion eighty-seven million thirty thousand rupees will be paid as the elderly allowance for the month of April to 617,406 adults over the age of 70.

The board further stated that in the second phase, an amount of three hundred sixty-seven million six hundred twenty-five thousand rupees will be paid to 72,525 adults over the age of 70.
