The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be occasional rains in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

Some places in Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts may experience heavy rains of more than 50 mm.
 
There are several rainy seasons in the North-West Province.

The rest of the island will have mainly rainless weather conditions.
 
In the weste slopes of the central hills, in the northe , north-central and north-weste provinces, in the Monaragala, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts, wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are expected from time to time.
