According to the announcement issued by the Department of Meteorology today (22), there will be several periods of rain in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

It said that there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.

In the weste slopes of the central hills, in the northe , north-central and north-weste provinces, in the Monaragala, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts, wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are expected from time to time.
