All fever patients should be protected from mosquitoes, said the Chairman of the Dengue Control Expert Committee, State Minister, Dr. Seetha Arambepola.

She said that it was due to the possibility of dengue infection from one infected person to another through mosquitoes.
 
The state minister has also instructed the National Dengue Control Unit to prepare separate guidelines for dengue control in the areas surrounding hospitals.
 
The urgent measures to be taken to control dengue within a few days have also been discussed.
