Sri Lanka Cricket Chairman Shammi Silva has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Silva has previously served as the Chairman of the ACC’s Finance and Marketing Committee for several years.

He replaces India’s Jay Shah, who recently took over as the Chairman of the Inte ational Cricket Council (ICC) last week.
