A traffic jam has occurred at the Peliyagoda exit of the Katunayake Expressway.

This is due to the heavy rainfall currently occurring across the island.

However, the police stated that necessary steps are being taken to restore traffic flow as soon as possible.

The police also stated that traffic jams have been created on several roads around Colombo Today (22) due to the ongoing rainfall.
