The US has decided to donate 10 TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopters to Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan Ambassador to the US Mahinda Samarasinghe made this known in a post on his official Facebook page.

These helicopters are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on May 24th.

These aircraft, which are a military variant of the Bell 206B-3 Jet Ranger, are scheduled to be delivered to the Sri Lanka Air Force.

Mahinda Samarasinghe stated that this donation will strengthen the long-standing partnership between the US and Sri Lanka as well as their commitment to regional security and humanitarian assistance.
